1 October, 2026 11:30 AM – 05:00 PM“Connecting Habitats, Thriving Wildlife”. Eligibility: Zoo visitors. The activity will be conducted at the entry gate of the National Zoological Park.
2 October, 2026 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM“Wildlife Habitats – A Home for Every Species”. Eligibility: Group A: Blind Divyangjan; Group B: Low Vision; Group C: PH/ CWSN Divyangjan. Clay for modelling will be provided by the National Zoological Park. Registration: 09:00 AM to 09:30 AM on the day, at the Entrance Gate of the National Zoological Park.
2 October, 2026 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM“Save Habitats, Save Wildlife”. Eligibility: Open to all students. Students shall bring their own poster making materials. Only A1-size drawing sheets will be provided by the National Zoological Park. Registration: 09:00 AM to 09:30 AM on the day, at the Entrance Gate of the National Zoological Park.
2 October, 2026 03:00 PM – 04:00 PMTopic: Species in Focus: Reptiles. Eligibility: Zoo volunteers, interns and reptile keeping staff. Activity will be conducted at the Reptile house and enclosure.
3 October, 2026 08:00 AM – 10:00 AMFlora of NZP. Eligibility: Zoo volunteers, students and visitors. Zoo volunteers and participants shall assemble at the Zoo entrance gate at 07:45 AM.
3 October, 2026 10:00 AM (3 minutes per student)“Are Wildlife Corridors Essential for the Survival of Wild Animals?”. Eligibility: Class 9th to 12th. Schools willing to participate are requested to submit the names of a maximum of two students (one for and one against the motion) on or before 2nd October 2026 by 04:30 PM. Entries shall be sent to nzpzoo-cza@nic.in.

3 October, 2026 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM“Wildlife without boundaries – Connecting Habitats Sustainable Life”. Eligibility: Class 6th to 8th. Students shall bring their own writing materials like pens/ sketch pens etc. Only A4-size ruled sheets will be provided by the National Zoological Park. The maximum word limit is 500 words. Registration: 09:00 AM to 09:30 AM on the day, at the Entrance Gate of the National Zoological Park.
3 October, 2026 03:00 PM – 04:00 PMSpecies in Focus: Primates. Eligibility: Zoo volunteers, students, visitors and primate keeping staff. The activity will be conducted at the Primate Enclosure. Educational literature on primates will also be distributed.
4 October, 2026 07:00 AM – 09:00 AMBirds of NZP. Eligibility: Zoo volunteers, students and visitors. Zoo volunteers and participants shall assemble at the Zoo entrance gate at 06:45 AM.
4 October, 2026 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM“My Nest – A Safe Home for Birds”. Eligibility: Class 6th to 8th. Raw materials for the activity will be provided by the National Zoological Park. Registration: 09:00 AM to 09:30 AM on the day, at the Entrance Gate of the National Zoological Park.
4 October, 2026 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM“Supporting Birds and Urban Biodiversity”. Eligibility: PH/ CWSN Divyangjan. Raw materials for the activity will be provided by the National Zoological Park. Registration: 09:00 AM to 09:30 AM on the day, at the Entrance Gate of the National Zoological Park.
4 October, 2026 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM“Leaves to Life: Celebrating Nature and Biodiversity”. Eligibility: Class 9th and above. Raw materials for the activity will be provided by the National Zoological Park. Registration: 09:00 AM to 09:30 AM on the day, at the Entrance Gate of the National Zoological Park.
4 October, 2026 03:00 PM – 04:00 PMSpecies in Focus: Birds. Eligibility: Zoo volunteers, students, visitors and bird keeping staff. The activity will be conducted at the Aviary. Educational literature on birds will also be distributed.
5 October, 2026 08:00 AM – 10:00 AMButterflies and Dragonflies of NZP. Eligibility: Zoo volunteers, students and visitors. Zoo volunteers and participants shall assemble at the Zoo entrance gate at 07:45 AM.
5 October, 2026 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM“Where Wildlife Finds a Home”. Eligibility: School students – Group A: Class 1st to 5th; Group B: Class 6th to 8th; Group C: Class 9th to 12th; Group D: PH/ CWSN Divyangjan. Participants shall bring their own clipboard, colours, pencils, erasers, etc. Only A3-size drawing sheets will be provided by the National Zoological Park for the painting activity. Registration: 09:00 AM to 09:30 AM on the day, at the Entrance Gate of the National Zoological Park.
5 October, 2026 03:00 PM – 04:00 PMSpecies in Focus: Lion. Eligibility: Zoo volunteers, students, visitors and lion keeping staff. The activity will be conducted at the Lion Enclosure. Educational literature on lions will also be distributed.
6 October, 2026 08:00 AM – 10:00 AMSpiders and Insects of NZP. Eligibility: Zoo volunteers, students and visitors. Zoo volunteers and participants shall assemble at the Zoo entrance gate at 07:45 AM.
6 October, 2026 10:00 AM – 11:00 AMMimicking an animal behaviour observed. Eligibility: Class 6th to 8th. A Certificate of Participation will be awarded to participants.
6 October, 2026 11:00 AM – 01:00 PM“Biodiversity – The Beautiful Web of Life”. Eligibility: Class 9th to 12th. Raw materials for the activity will be provided by the National Zoological Park. Registration: 09:00 AM to 09:30 AM on the day, at the Entrance Gate of the National Zoological Park.
6 October, 2026 03:00 PM – 04:00 PMSpecies in Focus: Bear. Eligibility: Zoo volunteers, students, visitors and bear keeping staff. The activity will be conducted at the Bear Enclosure.
7 October, 2026 08:00 AM – 10:00 AMReptiles, Amphibians and Molluscs of NZP. Eligibility: Zoo volunteers, students and visitors. Zoo volunteers and participants shall assemble at the Zoo entrance gate at 07:45 AM.
7 October, 2026 10:00 AM – 12:00 PMOpen Wildlife Quiz. Eligibility: Class 6th to 12th. Schools willing to participate are requested to submit the names of at least one team of two students on or before 5th October 2026 by 04:30 PM. A school may nominate multiple teams, with each team consisting of two students. Entries shall be sent to nzpzoo-cza@nic.in.

8 October, 2026 09:00 AM – 10:00 AMWater birds of NZP. Eligibility: Zoo volunteers, students and visitors. Zoo volunteers and participants shall assemble at the Zoo entrance gate at 08:30 AM.
8 October, 2026 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM“Wildlife Corridors and Habitat Connectivity: Pathways for Wildlife Survival”. Eligibility: Zoo staff, volunteers and interns. At the Education Centre.
8 October, 2026 11:00 AM – 12:00 PMWildlife quiz for staff. Eligibility: Zoo staff. An open wildlife quiz will be conducted, comprising questions related to wildlife.
8 October, 2026 12:00 PM – 01:00 PMSpecies in Focus: Tiger. Eligibility: Zoo volunteers, students, visitors and tiger keeping staff. The activity will be conducted at the Tiger Enclosure. Educational literature on tigers will be distributed, along with a special enclosure-enrichment activity at the Tiger Enclosure.
