The National Zoological Park also provides home to rescued animals. Post treatment depending on the recovery status, they are released in the free range wild. During previous years , Nilgai, Common Parakeet, Parakeet chicks, Grey Hornbill, Star Tortoise, Rhesus Monkey etc were rescued and released. NZP is also involved in releasing the surplus animals in the wild.
