At National Zoological Park an interested and passionate person in wild life can gain a meaningful work experience. This inspires everyone to love, respect, protect and care to our flora and fauna. A person can gain experience in conservation, research, recreation, environment and education here. National Zoological Park is only Zoo of Government of India under Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change and also comes in category of large zoo. It has around 107 species with a population of 1300 animals and green lung of capital with around 5000 trees of 132 species.

Any interested student of graduation, post-graduation or research scholar can do research here in the field related to wild life and environment. By this he /she can help us in a scientific manner for proper management of zoo or help us to understand the behavior of animals. He/she can do research work in interdisciplinary subjects which helps us for the betterment of park.

Volunteer

A youthful who have passion for wildlife, environment, conservation and who is enthusiastic and friendly in nature can be a Volunteer in National Zoological Park. After training by our education and research staff volunteer can interact and talk to visitor and can enjoy by sharing animal facts and information with visitors. They can also work as a guide for visitors, school, college and university groups.
